A slender hand rises from a wide lotus bowl and holds a single flower at the top. Everything has a bronze effect finish. Sit a lit backflow cone in the top flower. Once it gets going, the smoke runs over the petals, down past the hand and gathers in the bowl at the base.

It measures 17.5 cm tall, 14 cm wide and 14 cm deep, weighs about 477 g, and is made from resin and polyresin. Cones are sold separately. Use backflow cones only. Standard solid cones will burn, but their smoke rises instead of falling. You'll find them in our backflow incense cones collection.

Why does the smoke fall? A backflow cone has a hollow channel through its base. The smoke is drawn down through it, cools on the way and comes out heavier than the warm air around it, so it sinks. It flows best in still air. Keep it away from open windows, fans and radiators. If your smoke goes up instead, read why backflow incense might not be working.

Safety: burn on a flat, heat-proof surface. Never leave burning incense unattended. Keep it away from children, pets and anything that can catch fire, and keep the room ventilated.
